Good Day, Sunshine
To celebrate the start of summer, children at the Jackson Community Center created art inspired by the sun. The chilren used Elmer's Glue, chalk pastels and black ink to make their bright and sunny art. When they finished the children each wrote about a day, activity or pet that made them happy - their very own Good Day Sunshine Day.
My good day, sunshine day is Christmas. It makes me happy because I get presents and spend time with my family. You get to spend time with friends too. Actually, I like all of the holidays because you get to spend time with your family. Spending time with your family is what matters most!

My little sister's birthday was almost here. She really wanted to know where we were going for her birthday. My two other sisters and I knew, but we would not tell her. When it was her birthday we woke up late and went to Golden Corral for breakfast. The next day we went to Universal Studios. We rode all the rides. It was so fun! At the end of the day we went home and got ready for school. I got into bed and went to sleep. And that is my good day sunshine day!

One day my Dad came and got me. We had fun together. My Dad is a good man. He took me to the store, beach and a park. We had so much fun! Then he took me over to his house. Finally, he took me back home to my Mom's house. On the way there we stopped and got ice cream. It had been a very good day, sunshine day with my Dad.
